Ptu - Unique Cathalyst

This tutorial was written in PSP 9 and can be used with any other version. I assume that you have a working knowledge of PSP.

Supplies Needed:
Tube of choice/close up


Paid Scrap kit by Rieneke Designs
"Unique" Purchase at Scrap N Company


Font of choice
Angelican

Mask by Brutal Designs
Mask 4  grab HERE
The swirly one with stars in center

Plugins Optional:
Redpaw media - beautifier
Xenofex 2 - constellation
xero - radiance



Tutorial shortcut index:
"Delete" on your keyboard under Insert.
"C/P" copy and paste as new layer.
Remove "O/L" Remove original layer.
"D/S" Drop shadow located in 3D effects.
"R/S" Resize layer located in Image.
New "R/L" Raster layer, in Layers.
"outer glow" Gradient glow from eye candy
Or my method on my blog under "How to dos"

Good D/S settings:
0, 0, 57, 6, color black

Good add noise settings:
Uniform- 70-90 % noise monochrome
Random- 10-34% noise monochrome

Open ele 52 R/S to 80% set canvas size to 650x650
Open tube of choice, R/S, C/P onto canvas, drag in the middle

Click inside frame using magic wand. selections modify expand by 5
Open paper2 R/S to 60% C/P onto canvas. selections
invert - delete. select none. drag below frame layer

Select your frame again now add outer glow 
i choose black and this purplish color #c0afc9
Add noise then apply D/S both settings of choice

Back on your tube layer brighten it up a bit if you'd like
If you're using the same tube as i am. B: 29, C:19
Then apply radiance settings of choice

I then went back to my paper layer and added close up of choice
turned tube greyscale and blend mode to overlay. 
Then applied scanlines, i used the default settings
Then apply constellation all over this layer

Now it's time for more elements

Using this drop shadow: 0, 0, 56, 4, color black
ELEMENT54 - 25%
ELEMENT56 - 30%
ELEMENT21 - 50%
ELEMENT27 - 25%
ELEMENT33 - 20%
ELEMENT62 - 25%
ELEMENT9 - 30%
ELEMENT24 - 40%
ELEMENT7 - 30%
ELEMENT58 - 40%
ELEMENT36 - 40%
ELEMENT50 - 25%



place elements where you want, or use my tag as a guide.
Apply your mask, copyrights,  add your name save as a PNG
I applied beautifier to the whole tag, settings of choice
I also applied random constellation around the elements

Mask of choice


Plugins Optional:
Redpaw media - beautifier
Xenofex 2 - constellation

Open canvas 620x620 - Open element 45 C/P onto canvas
Duplicate several times and spread out near the bottom

Open element10 R/S to 50% C/P onto canvas, drag to left
Open element7 R/S to 60% C/P onto canvas drag to left 
Duplicate trees and mirror to the right side of canvas

Open tube R/S to 30% C/P onto canvas right in the middle
Place one of the sand layers over your tube layer 

Open element12 R/S to 40% C/P onto canvas, drag to right side
using eraser tool opacity down to 36 start erasing bottom of surf board

Open element60 R/S to 50% C/P onto canvas, drag this to the very last layer
and place these in the background duplicate and mirror should have 2 on each side

Open element17 R/S to 25% C/P onto canvas. drag to the last layers
 place near element60 all around the sands edge 




Now it's time for more elements

Using this drop shadow: 0, 0, 37, 6, color black

Open template, select smaller rectangle. selections-all
float- defloat- open paper4, R/S to 65%, C/P onto canvas
selections- invert, delete, select none. remove O/L, add outer glow
color of choice, then drop shadow

Select rectangle, selections- all- float- defloat, open paper15
R/S to 65%, add a new raster layer, C/P into selection.
selections- delete, select none. remove O/L, add outer glow
 color of choice then drop shadow

Select circle1, selections- all- float- defloat, open paper2
R/S to 60%, C/P onto your canvas, selections- invert- delet. select none
remove O/L, add outer glow, then D/S, do the same for circle 2.

Open paper 14, R/S, Adjust- brightness/contrast. B -4, C 25.
Now select rounded rectangle1, selections- all- float- defloat
with your paper, C/P onto canvas, selections- invert, delete, select none
remove O/L, apply your outer glow, then drop shadow.
Do the same for the other rounded rectangle2

I applied brown color to the doodles, do this or use paper

I went back to my circles, added my close up tube. changed
blend mode to overlay. turned tubes to greyscale. added radiance
settings: 128, 50, 128, 73. or settings of choice. Apply

Open your main tube R/S if you need too, C/P onto canvas
placed in the middle, added radiance using settings above
apply your drop shadow, i didn't use outer glow. but you could

Last moment, i decided to take off all the hearts.

Now it's element time


Elements i used and the resized %
Using this drop shadow: 0, 0, 30, 8, color black
Element52 - 30%
Element92 - 25%
Element17  full size
Element43 - 60%
Element5 - 40%
Element93 - 30%
Element24 - 20%
Element105 - 40%
Element22 - 50%
Element94 - 25%

Moodlight using these settings below.

I applied this to these elements. 5, 22, 92, 94, and my main tube

Applied constellation to parts of my tag and mask

After i merged my tag i added red paw media beautifier plugin
settings: 43, 41, 21 100, or use your own settings

Apply your mask i used paper5, add copyrights,
 your name save as a PNG
You're done!

Open template R/S 95% image-canvas size 600x600
Remove the copyrights, and the BG, and raster 10


Select raster7, selections- all- float- defloat, paper8 -R/S 50% C/P
selections- invert- delete, select none remove O/L, add outer glow then D/S


Select raster3, selections- all- float- defloat, paper1 -R/S 80% C/P
selections- invert- delete, select none remove O/L, add outer glow then D/S

Select raster2, selections- all- float- defloat, paper1 -R/S C/P
selections- invert- delete, select none remove O/L, add outer glow then D/S

Select raster1, selections- all- float- defloat, paper7 -R/S 50% C/P
selections- invert- delete, select none remove O/L, add outer glow then D/S

Select raster5, selections- all- float- defloat, paper7 -R/S C/P
selections- invert- delete, select none remove O/L, add outer glow then D/S

Select raster4, selections- all- float- defloat, paper12 -R/S 60% C/P
selections- invert- delete, select none remove O/L, add outer glow then D/S
Select your paper layer for this one, and C/P close up tube inside the circle
I changed blend mode to screen. duplicated on duplicate layer i applied
cybia -screen works- dot screen 54, on  duplicate layer blend mode to soft light

Open your tube, R/S if needed, i put her below the wordart, add D/S
Dress up your wordart how you'd like, Now it's element time

Element98 - 30%
Element17 - 25%
