Ptu - DarKnight

This tutorial was written in PSP 9 and can be used with any other version. I assume that you have a working knowledge of PSP.

Supplies Needed:
Tube of choice/close up


Paid Scrap kit by Toxic Desirez
"Battastic" Purchase at S&Co



Font of choice
CK Brandy B

Mask of choice

Plugins Optional:
Redpaw media - beautifier
Xero - radiance


Tutorial shortcut index:
"Delete" on your keyboard under Insert.
"C/P" copy and paste as new layer.
Remove "O/L" Remove original layer.
"D/S" Drop shadow located in 3D effects.
"R/S" Resize layer located in Image.
New "R/L" Raster layer, in Layers.
"outer glow" Gradient glow from eye candy
Or my method on my blog under "How to dos"

Good D/S settings:
0, 0, 57, 6, color black

Good add noise settings:
Uniform- 70-90 % noise monochrome
Random- 10-34% noise monochrome

I used the artwork of Ismael Rac
Tube of choice i used "2013Tough Attitude"
He's now at S&Co so search for the tube there
Or choose something else. Website & Tubes

Open a 650x50 canvas comic frame R/S to 85% 
Open tube of choice R/S % of choice, C/P onto canvas
Drag where you want you might need to change it later

Duplicate tube mirror turn to greyscale
Place two so you see the face but tubes back to back
I also colorized my tube to kit the scrapkit, do this if you like

Duplicate your frame and now drag above your tube layers
Now i went and erased parts of the frame/tube so it looked
like her and her "shadow twin" was coming out of parts of the comic
You might need to move your tube to fit perfectly like i did

Select the frame thats in 1 piece (original) 
Using magic wand click inside the two middle frames
Selections - modify - expand by 6
Open city R/S to 45% C/P onto canvas
drag below frame, but in the middle of marching ants
C/P as many times as you need to fill them i did 2
Selections - invert - delete (on each layer)
selections none, apply D/S

Using magic wand click inside top right frame
selections - modify - expand by 6
Open Background R/S to 35% C/P onto canvas
Using mover tool drag inside your marching ants
selections - invert - delete select none
drag below frame and any tube sticking out

Click inside the bottom two frames
selections - modify - expand by 6
Open paper3 R/S to 65% C/P onto canvas
using mover tool drag inside marching ants
selections - invert delete. select none drag below frame


Now back to frame, click inside the two middle frames
selections - modify - expand by 6
Open paper5 R/S to 80% C/P onto canvas
drag paper inside marching ants, selections - invert 
delete. select none, drag below frame layer
Since we put the city in this section make sure you
drag your paper below that element too

One more time, select frame. click inside top left frame
selections - modify - expand by 6
Open paper 6 R/S to 80% C/P onto canvas
drag inside ants, selections - invert - delete select none
drag paper layer below your frame layer


Now it's element time


Elements i used and the resized %
Using this drop shadow: 0, 0, 50, 7, color black
Car - 60%
Bats - 50%
Light - 35%
Lightbeam - 40%
Sound FX1 - 30%
Silhouette - 40%
Cuppy - 20%
Bomb - 20%
Bat - 20%
Mask - 25%
Glasses - 15%
Mouth - 15%
Smoke - 25%
Thought Bubble - 20%
Joker - 25%
Knuckles - 15%
Gun - 12%
Bullethole - 20%




place elements where you want, or use my tag as a guide.
Apply your mask, copyrights,  add your name save as a PNG
I applied beautifier to the whole tag, setting of choice
I used paper 11 for my mask layer 


You're done!

Font of choice

Plugins Optional:
Redpaw media - beautifier
xero - radiance
Effects - Texture effects -
Mosaic Antique

Open canvas size 650x650
R/S tube i did to 35% C/P onto canvas
drag to the left  hand side kinda on the bottom
Apply radiance, settings of choice

Open paper11 R/S to 80% rotate counter clockwise 90
Using your selection tool, select rounded square. and 
drag out the size you want on the paper. 
Cut - paste onto your canvas. 

Now select your deform tool
and start playing with the Nods, holding down CTRL
while you move the nods in and out, this deforms the paper
You can choose from the top nods and also the sides, work with both

Keep playing until you start getting it flat like a rug.
 i'm not sure how else to explain how to do this step
Now duplicate a few times, i decided i wanted it bigger than a rug


Open bed R/S to 60% C/P onto canvas - place behind tube 
I then mirrored the bed so it would fit better behind the tube

Open dresser R/S to 40%  C/P onto canvas - place on right side

Open book R/S to 35% C/P onto canvas - drag in front right side, behind tube
I then mirrored the book and put where i wanted

Open pillow R/S to 30% C/P onto canvas - i placed pillows behind tube
Duplicate a few times. to make it look like she's on a bunch of them

Open sparkle burst - R/S to 30% C/P onto canvas - drag on top of the book
i used eraser tool to erase the harsh straight line going across the bottom
Duplicate and arrange them so they are besides each other

Now it's element time

Using this drop shadow: 0, 0, 43, 8, color black
Clock - 15%
Lamp - 15%
Wordart - 70%
Jar -15%
Candle - 20%
Teddy - 20%
Stars - 35%
Vines - 30%
Sheep2 - 20%
Sheep1 - 15%
Dragonfly - 15%
Sleeping teddy - 20%
Window - 50%
Curtains - 40%
Butterfly - 15%
Stick - 20%

Ptu - Hardcore Harley

Mask of choice mine was from René Kunert
The mask i used was collected from her forum
which is no longer around. But i found her website
Mask i used is if you're able to find it or if you already have it

R/S temp to 85% Canvas size 650x650
Remove Copyright

Tube tube of choice R/S i choose half body
C/P onto canvas, drag her near the bottom
erase everything so it's rounded like the circle
apply D/S before you starte erasing. and drag tube
below "hardcore harley' wordart
Apply radiance on tube if you want

Select raster 9 selections all float defloat
Open pp7 R/S to 80% C/P onto canvas, selections
invert - delete. select none. remove original layer
Do the same step for copy of raster 9

Select raster6  selections all float defloat
Open pp6 R/S to 80% C/P onto canvas, selections
invert - delete. select none. remove original layer
Do the same step for copy of raster 6

Select raster7  selections all float defloat
Open pp12 R/S to 80% C/P onto canvas, selections
invert - delete. select none. remove original layer
Do the same step for copy of raster 7

Select raster 8 selections all float defloat
Open pp9 R/S to 80% C/P onto canvas, selections
invert - delete. select none. remove original layer
Do the same step for copy of raster 8

Select raster5  selections all float defloat
Open pp10 R/S to 80% C/P onto canvas, selections
invert - delete. select none. remove original layer
Do the same step for copy of raster 5

Select raster2  selections all float defloat
add new raster layer, flood fill color of choice
I used pink from her hair, select none. remove original
 Do the same step for copy of raster 2

Apply outer glow to all of your paper layers
add noise to them if you want - drop shadow ro all


When i did this i used my free hand selection tool
and i removed half of the pink to show the red
straight down the middle of the heart. do to both sides


Add noise/outer glow to the diamonds
raster 15 and copy of raster 15

Raster 4 sharpen. add noise. then drop shadow
Raster 3 - apply xero -  fritillary - default settings
add noise color red  D/S but you can't see it on the black

Open mallet R/S to 40% mirror and i used the deform tool
and made the box smaller until i got the size i wanted



Now it's element time

Using this drop shadow: 0, 0, 66, 7, color black
Skull2 - 25%
Rose - 25%
Police car - 35%
Handcuffs - 20%
Harley In A Box - 30%
Grenade - 20%
Firecrackers - 20%
Bat - 50%
Barrel - 20%
Cuppy - 15%
Knuckles - 15%
