Outer Glow without any plugins

This tutorial was written in PSP 9 and can be used with any other version. I assume that you have a working knowledge of PSP.

Supplies Needed:
Font - shaking bones
Grab font Here

Now i'm applying this on a font, this can be applied to templates layers, to tubes, for layered wordart, on pretty much anything and everything. So if you want to learn "outer glow" without plugins this is the tutorial for you. This is usually done in all of my tutorials... Always optional but i just like it, and i think it makes the papers in my tags stand out.

Here is what you do for text:

Open a 600x600 canvas, open text tool and type out anything you want
I typed out.. Gorgeous, make your text big. Layers- convert to raster layer,
selections- all- float- defloat- modify-expand by you choose any number the more
the number the thicker the border around your layer. i choose 3

Selecting your flood fill tool, it's a paint bucket, choose the color on your foreground palette. i choose a pretty purple color. Make sure you add a new layer on top, other wise this won't work. Images- new raster layer, now Click inside the marching ants with your flood tool now selections- select none.

You need to drag this new layer below your text. And you're pretty much done, you can add noise on this purple layer, that's what i like to do, i give two different add noise settings on most of my tutorials.. And a drop shadow, so now this is the final project.

Thanks for trying my tutorial.
Now lets see those results.
