Ptu - Poisonous


This tutorial was written in PSP 9 and can be used with any other version. I assume that you have a working knowledge of PSP.

Tutorial shortcut index:
"Delete" on your keyboard under Insert.
"C/P" copy and paste as new layer.
Remove "O/L" Remove original layer.
"D/P" Drop shadow located in 3D effects.
"R/S" Resize layer located in Image.
New "R/L" Raster layer, in Layers.
"F/F" Flood fill (paint bucket) tool.
"outer glow" Gradient glow from eye candy
Or my method find on my blog under "How to do"

Good D/P settings:
0, 0, 57, 6, color black

Good add noise settings:
Uniform- 70-90 % noise monochrome
Random- 10-34% noise monochrome

Open template R/S to 80%, Images- canvas size 600x600

Select raster9, selections- all- float- defloat, paper6 -R/S 80% C/P
selections- invert- delete, select none remove O/L, add outer glow then D/P

Select copy raster9, selections- all- float- defloat, paper6- C/P
selections- invert- delete, select none remove O/L, add outer glow then D/P

Select raster5, selections- all- float- defloat, paper12 - R/S 60%- C/P
selections- invert- delete, select none remove O/L, add outer glow then D/P

Select raster3, selections- all- float- defloat, paper3 - R/S 60%- C/P
selections- invert- delete, select none remove O/L, add outer glow then D/P

Select raster7, selections- all- float- defloat, paper5 - R/S 60%- C/P
selections- invert- delete, select none remove O/L, add outer glow then D/P

Select copyraster7, selections- all- float- defloat, paper- C/P
selections- invert- delete, select none remove O/L, add outer glow then D/P

Select raster8, selections- all- float- defloat, paper15- R/S 60%- C/P
selections- invert- delete, select none remove O/L, add outer glow then D/P

I deleted copy of raster 6, and copy of raster 2, though i did add
a new outer glow to these, then on raster 6, F/F with color black

Select raster2, selections- all- float- defloat, paper10 - R/S 40%- C/P
selections- invert- delete, select none remove O/L, add outer glow then D/P

The new layer for your black squares, if you F/F'd raster 6, select the layer
selections-all -float- defloat, C/P tube, selections- invert- delete select none
change tube to greyscale, adjust- hue/sat - colorize - sat set to 0
I added slight radiance, then applied jeans, both settings of choice

Open your tube place her in the center, i added outer glow on her, add noise, D/P
I also gave her a slight sharpen, she looked alittle blurry


Now it's element time


Elements i used and the resized %
Using this drop shadow: 0, 0, 61, 5, color black
Element61 - 25%
Element67 - 30%
Element64 - 40%
Element58 - 30%
Element56 - 20%
Element2 - 30%
Element59 - 20%
Element8 - 50%
Element70 - 20%
Element20 - 30%
Element10 (don't remember R/S)


place elements where you want, or use my tag as a guide.
Type one some text i choose "Poisonous" Placed in front of tube

Apply your mask- add copyrights, your name save as a PNG
You're done!
