Ptu - Goth And Girly


This tutorial was written in PSP 9 and can be used with any other version. I assume that you have a working knowledge of PSP.

Tube of choice/close up


PTU Scrap kit by Inzpired Creationz
"Touch Of Goth" Purchase at ICZStore


Font of choice
Tango Psychedelia

Temp477 by Millie
Millie's PsP Madness


Mask of choice
none


Plugins Optional:
penta.com - jeans
xero - fritillary
red paw media - beautifier



Tutorial shortcut index:
"Delete" on your keyboard under Insert.
"C/P" copy and paste as new layer.
Remove "O/L" Remove original layer.
"D/S" Drop shadow located in 3D effects.
"R/S" Resize layer located in Image.
New "R/L" Raster layer, in Layers.
"outer glow" Gradient glow from eye candy
Or my method on my blog under "How to dos"

Good D/S settings:
0, 0, 57, 6, color black

Good add noise settings:
Uniform- 70-90 % noise monochrome
Random- 10-34% noise monochrome

Open template - image-canvas size 600x600
Remove the copyrights, BG, and raster 7 and 8


Select raster4, selections- all- float- defloat, paper8 -R/S 60% C/P
selections- invert- delete, select none remove O/L, add outer glow then D/S

Select raster6, selections- all- float- defloat, paper11 -R/S 60% C/P
selections- invert- delete, select none remove O/L, add outer glow then D/S

Select raster4, selections- all- float- defloat, add new R/L
Flood fill black, select none remove O/L
Select this layer, selections- all- float- defloat, open close up tube
C/P, use your mover tool to drag your tube inside the marching ants
selections-invert- delete. select none, i turned tubes to grescale
add outer glow then D/S I hide everything and merged my tube layers
with my flood fill, then applied jeans

Select raster1, selections- all- float- defloat, paper12 -R/S 60% C/P
selections- invert- delete, select none remove O/L, add outer glow then D/S

Select raster2, selections- all- float- defloat, paper12 -R/S 60% C/P
selections- invert- delete, select none remove O/L, add outer glow then D/S

Select raster3, selections- all- float- defloat, paper9 -R/S 60% C/P
selections- invert- delete, select none remove O/L, add outer glow then D/S
On this paper layer, i applied fritillary, and sharpened the black parts a few times
and i also sharpened the pink parts just once, click on them using your magic wand
Settings:add (shift) RGB value, 30 tolerance, contiguous, anti-alias outside
xero - Fritillary settings: 5, 30, 10, 12

Open your tube, C/P place off to the side, i applied outer glow then a D/S


Dress up your wordart how you'd like, Now it's element time
I took off the so sweet, and added "goth" to suit my tag


Elements i used and the resized %
Using this drop shadow: 0, 0, 61, 5, color black
Pearls1 - 60%
Shoe - 30%
Bird - 25%
Bow3 - 30%
Charm1 - 80%
Mask - 30%
Cluster2 - 40%
Lips - 60%
Rose3 - 30%
Rose1 - 25%
Featherpen - 50%
Feather2 - 40%
Key - 20%
Sparkle3 - 40%



place elements where you want, or use my tag as a guide.
After i merged my tag i added red paw media beautifier plugin
settings: 50, 68, 43, 100, or use settings of choice
Apply your mask- add copyrights, your name save as a PNG
You're done!
