Ptu - Deep Sea Mermaid


This tutorial was written in PSP 9 and can be used with any other version. I assume that you have a working knowledge of PSP.

Supplies Needed:
Tube of choice/close up


Paid Scrap kit by MMeliCrea Designz
"Ocean World" Purchase at Smiley Creations


Font of choice
Recorda Script


Plugins Optional:
xero - radiance



Tutorial shortcut index:
"Delete" on your keyboard under Insert.
"C/P" copy and paste as new layer.
Remove "O/L" Remove original layer.
"D/S" Drop shadow located in 3D effects.
"R/S" Resize layer located in Image.
New "R/L" Raster layer, in Layers.
"outer glow" Gradient glow from eye candy
Or my method on my blog under "How to dos"

Good D/S settings:
0, 0, 57, 6, color black

Good add noise settings:
Uniform- 70-90 % noise monochrome
Random- 10-34% noise monochrome

Open frame2, R/S to 80% canvas size 600x600
Select magic wand,  click on the outside of the circle
inside the blue ropes, selections modify expand by 12

open paper7, C/P into canvas selections invert delete
select none, drag below frame layer.

Using magic wand again click the inside of the circle frame,
selections modify expand by 7, open paper3 R/S to 60%, 
Add new raster layer, C/P paste into selection, selections none
drag below your frame. If you don't like the look don't resize paper

On your frame layer i added outer glow, color of choice. 
now add noise of choice and drop shadow
Open your main tube, R/S in needed place in the middle
Apply radiance to your tube, settings of choice.. 

Note: I placed my elements around my tube

Now it's element time


Elements i used and the resized %
Using this drop shadow: 0, 0, 54, 7, color black
Element122 - 50%
Element101 - 80%
Element55 - 40%
Element20 - 10%
Element27 - 40%
Element39 - 30%
Element22 - 60%
Element83 - 25%
Element96 - 20%


place elements where you want, or use my tag as a guide.
Add your copyrights,  your name save as a PNG
You're done!
