Ptu - Kandy Treats


This tutorial was written in PSP 9 and can be used with any other version. I assume that you have a working knowledge of PSP.

Supplies Needed:
Tube of choice/close up


Paid Scrap kit by Toxic Desirez
"Kandy Kauldron" Purchase at Skullified Scrapz


Font of choice
Addams

Plugins Optional:
red paw media - beautifier
penta.com - color dot
xero - radiance



Tutorial shortcut index:
"Delete" on your keyboard under Insert.
"C/P" copy and paste as new layer.
Remove "O/L" Remove original layer.
"D/S" Drop shadow located in 3D effects.
"R/S" Resize layer located in Image.
New "R/L" Raster layer, in Layers.
"outer glow" Gradient glow from eye candy
Or my method on my blog under "How to dos"

Good D/S settings:
0, 0, 57, 6, color black

Good add noise settings:
Uniform- 70-90 % noise monochrome
Random- 10-34% noise monochrome

Open temp, R/S to 85% canvas 600x600
Remove copyright, background
Remove layers brown rounded bottom
and beige rounded rec top, and both heart layers

Open tube, C/P onto canvas, in center
Open frame3, R/S to 50%, C/P onto canvas, in center
Select blk oval top selections all float defloat
Open paper1 R/S to 60%, C/P onto canvas, selections
invert- delete none. remove O/L apply outer glow
Do the same for blk oval bottom

Select orange frame, selections all float defloat
Open paper4, R/S to 65%, C/P onto canvas, selections
invert- delete, select none. remove O/L, apply outer glow

Select blk oval, selections all float defloat
Open paper3, R/S to 65%, C/P onto canvas, selections
invert- delete, select none. remove O/L, apply outer glow

Select the frame we placed earlier, click inside with magic wand
selections modify expand by 5, open paper10 R/S to 65% 
C/P onto canvas, selections invert- delete, select none drag below frame
Select frame again, selections all float defloat, add new raster layer
Flood fill color of choice, i choose black. select none drag below frame
Duplicate black layer, adjust> blur and blur more

Select orange square bottom, selections all float
defloat, Add new raster layer, flood fill color of choice
 selections  select none, apply outer glow
Do the same thing for orange square top layer
I then went back and added a close up tube into the squares
The tube i used didnt have any so i increased the size of the original tube
Blend mode: screen, tube on greyscale 
Radiance: 128, 50, 128, 64
Penta.com - color dot: 42, 6, 255, 255, 255

Select white circle bottom, selections all float defloat
Open paper11, R/S to 65%, C/P onto canvas, selections invert
delete, select none. remove O/L, apply outer glow
Do this same step for white circle top layer


Now it's element time


Elements i used and the resized %
Using this drop shadow: 0, 0, 66, 6, color black
Candy bucket - 30% then 80%
House - 40%
Pumpkin 3 - 30%
Candy 2 - 15%
Frog - 20%
Candy corn - 12%
Flower 1 - 30%
Bow - 50%
Butterfly - 20%

Apply your mask, copyrights,  add your name save as a PNG
