Ftu - Mediterranean Nights


This tutorial was written in PSP 9 and can be used with any other version. I assume that you have a working knowledge of PSP.

Supplies Needed:
Tube of choice/close up


Free Scrap kit by Melissaz Creationz
"Mediterranean Nights" Grab HERE

Font of choice
TheNautiGal

Underwater image HERE

I used two masks
Mizteeque mask 070 - HERE
(The very last mask)
Brutal designs Mask 22 - HERE

Plugins Optional:
red paw media - beautifier



Tutorial shortcut index:
"Delete" on your keyboard under Insert.
"C/P" copy and paste as new layer.
Remove "O/L" Remove original layer.
"D/S" Drop shadow located in 3D effects.
"R/S" Resize layer located in Image.
New "R/L" Raster layer, in Layers.
"outer glow" Gradient glow from eye candy
Or my method on my blog under "How to dos"

Good D/S settings:
0, 0, 57, 6, color black

Good add noise settings:
Uniform- 70-90 % noise monochrome
Random- 10-34% noise monochrome

Open ele 04 R/S to 80% Canvas size 650x650
Drag sand layer down near the bottom
duplicate sand and mirror arrange how you like

Open tube C/P onto canvas place in the center. D/S

Using your rectangle tool, FG white BG black
Mode on rectangle. width set to 7, draw out the size rectangle you want
Now convert to rater. Duplicate until you have 4 different rectangles 
Hide all layers and merge all of these together

Using your selection tool. click inside each black rectangle
Open paper 05, R/S to 80% C/P onto canvas, selections invert
delete. select none don't hide the original yet

Select the rectangles again this time using magic wand on the outer part
(the white frame) add new raster layer, flood fill color of choice
apply add noise, then glass, both settings of choice D/S

Open ele03 R/S to 60% C/P onto canvas, drag below sand
but above the two bottome rectangles. Do the same with ele 03
R/S ele 03 to 50% and i placed it on each side closest to the outer part
Open ele25 R/S to 40% C/P onto canvas drag this in front of wave
Duplicate until you have a line going across apply D/S

Go back and select the original rectangles (under your paper layer)
Erase the top paper layers. Open your underwater scene R/S to 15%
Click inside the black boxes again. C/P water scene onto your canvas
now mirror this water scene and C/P back onto your canvas
Using your drag tool drag inside the marching ants you want
then invert - delete (on both layers) select none.
Now start putting your fish inside these two rectangles
Fish i used were: ELE22, 20, 21


Open ele10 R/S to 60% C/P onto canvas drag to left side behind tube D/S
Open ele13 R/S to 40% C/P onto canvas drag near scooter D/S
Open ele14 R/S to 40% C/P onto canvas drag near the beach bag D/S
Open ele08 R/S to 55% C/P onto canvas drag to the right hand side D/S
Open ele15 R/S to 40% C/P onto canvas drag on top of the beach chair D/S
Open ele19 R/S to 50% C/P onto canvas drag near bottom of chair D/S
Open ele18 R/S to 40% C/P onto canvas drag near bag and scooter D/S
Open ele06 R/S to 40% C/P onto canvas drag besides beach chair D/S
Open ele27 R/S to 30% C/P onto canvas drag near sunglasses D/S

place elements where you want, or use my tag as a guide.
Apply your mask, copyrights,  add your name save as a PNG
I applied beautifier to the whole tag, setting of choice

I used paper 7 and 6. 1st mask: Miz Mask 070 - 2nd mask: Mask22
I colorized paper7 orange with the first mask
And blue glitter paper with the second mask

You're done!
