Ptu - Candy Cane Elves

This tutorial was written in PSP 9 and can be used with any other version. I assume that you have a working knowledge of PSP.

Redpaw media - beautifier

Tutorial shortcut index:

"Delete" on your keyboard under Insert.

"C/P" copy and paste as new layer.

Remove "O/L" Remove original layer.

"D/S" Drop shadow located in 3D effects.

"R/S" Resize layer located in Image.

New "R/L" Raster layer, in Layers.

"outer glow" Gradient glow from eye candy

Good D/S settings:

0, 0, 57, 6, color black

Good add noise settings:

Uniform- 70-90 % noise monochrome

Random- 10-34% noise monochrome

Open template, remove these layers

credits, copy raster 9, raster 9, 10, 7

R/S temp to 85% and then canvas size 650x650

Select raster5, selections all float defloat

Open paper3 R/S to 60% C/P onto canvas

drag into selection, selections invert - delete. select none

Do the same for the other layer (copy of raster 5)

Apply drop shadow or outer glow of choice

Select raster4, selections all float defloat

Open paper10  R/S to 60% C/P onto canvas

drag into selection, selections invert - delete. select none

Do the same for the other layer (copy of raster4 )

Apply drop shadow or outer glow of choice

Select raster3, selections all float defloat

Open paper2  R/S to 60% C/P onto canvas

drag into selection, selections invert - delete. select none

Do the same for the other layer (copy of raster 3)

Apply drop shadow or outer glow of choice

Select raster6, selections all float defloat

Open paper6  R/S to 60% C/P onto canvas twice

drag into selection, selections invert - delete. on each layer

 select none. Apply drop shadow or outer glow of choice

Select raster2, selections all float defloat

Open paper11 R/S to 60% C/P onto canvas

drag into selection, selections invert - delete. select none

Apply drop shadow or outer glow of choice

On raster 8 apply fritillary settings of choice

Apply drop shadow or outer glow settings of choice

(I guess you can skip this, once you add the elements

this raster layer begins to disappear. but i kept mine)

Now it's element time

Apply your copyrights,  add your name save as a PNG
