Ptu - Dia De Muerta


This tutorial was written in PSP 9 and can be used with any other version. I assume that you have a working knowledge of PSP.

Tube of choice/close up


Paid Scrap kit by Toxic Desirez
"Dia De Los Muertos2" Purchase at Skullified Scrapz


Font of choice
Habana

Mask of choice
none

Temp310 by Kristin

Plugins Optional:
PhotoEffex - scanlines
xero - radiance



Tutorial shortcut index:
"Delete" on your keyboard under Insert.
"C/P" copy and paste as new layer.
Remove "O/L" Remove original layer.
"D/S" Drop shadow located in 3D effects.
"R/S" Resize layer located in Image.
New "R/L" Raster layer, in Layers.
"outer glow" Gradient glow from eye candy
Or my method on my blog under "How to dos"

Good D/S settings:
0, 0, 57, 6, color black

Good add noise settings:
Uniform- 70-90 % noise monochrome
Random- 10-34% noise monochrome

Open template, R/S to 80% canvas size 600x600
remove copyrights, and raster 2


Select raster8, selections- all- float- defloat, open paper8, R/S 60%
C/P onto canvas, selections- invert, delete. select none, remove O/L
Add  drop shadow of choice

Select copyraster8, selections- all- float- defloat, open paper8, 
C/P onto canvas, selections- invert, delete. select none, remove O/L
Add  drop shadow of choice

Select raster7, selections- all- float- defloat, open paper10, R/S 60%
C/P onto canvas, selections- invert, delete. select none, remove O/L
Add an outer glow, add noise then drop shadow of choice

Select copyraster7, selections- all- float- defloat, open paper10, 
C/P onto canvas, selections- invert, delete. select none, remove O/L
Add an outer glow, add noise then drop shadow of choice

Select raster9, selections- all- float- defloat, open paper2, R/S 60%
C/P onto canvas, selections- invert, delete. select none, remove O/L
Add  drop shadow of choice

Select copyraster9, selections- all- float- defloat, open paper2, 
C/P onto canvas, selections- invert, delete. select none, remove O/L
Add  drop shadow of choice

Select raster10, selections- all- float- defloat, open paper4, R/S 60%
C/P onto canvas, selections- invert, delete. select none, remove O/L
Add an outer glow, add noise then drop shadow of choice

Select copyraster10, selections- all- float- defloat, open paper4, 
C/P onto canvas, selections- invert, delete. select none, remove O/L
Add an outer glow, add noise then drop shadow of choice

Select raster6, apply scanlines width at 2 everything at default
Add an outer glow, add noise then drop shadow of choice

Select copyraster6, apply scanlines width at 2 everything at default
Add an outer glow, add noise then drop shadow of choice

Remove layers 5 and copy5, open flame R/S to 50%
Place where the other flames were, using your deform tool
smoosh it down to your liking, hide behind copyraster4
duplicate this new flame and mirror, apply drop shadow


Select raster4, selections- all- float- defloat, open paper3, R/S 60%
While on your paper layer, adjust-brightness/contrast, B -13, C 13
C/P onto canvas, selections- invert, delete. select none, remove O/L
copy of raster4 - reapply add noise apply drop shadow 

Open main tube, resize if needed, turn greyscale place in center
I colorized her eyes orangey red, apply radiance, slight drop shadow


Now it's element time


Elements i used and the resized %
Using this drop shadow: 0, 0, 56, 5, color black
hand - 25%
Bear - 30%
rosary - 30%
Skull&Rose - 30%
Skull2 - 30%
Rose - 25%
Spider - 30%
frame2 - 75%
lips - 25%
Splatter - 60%

place elements where you want, or use my tag as a guide.

Add your copyrights, your name save as a PNG
You're done!
