Ptu - Rawk Star


This tutorial was written in PSP 9 and can be used with any other version. I assume that you have a working knowledge of PSP.

Supplies Needed:
Tube of choice/close up


Paid Scrap kit by Toxic Desirez
"Rawk Star" Purchase at Smiley Creations


Font of choice
Sick Capital

Temp13 by Sylvie

Plugins Optional:
penta.com - color dot



Tutorial shortcut index:
"Delete" on your keyboard under Insert.
"C/P" copy and paste as new layer.
Remove "O/L" Remove original layer.
"D/S" Drop shadow located in 3D effects.
"R/S" Resize layer located in Image.
New "R/L" Raster layer, in Layers.
"outer glow" Gradient glow from eye candy
Or my method on my blog under "How to dos"

Good D/S settings:
0, 0, 57, 6, color black

Good add noise settings:
Uniform- 70-90 % noise monochrome
Random- 10-34% noise monochrome

Open template Remove these layers
CR, BG, pink stars, dotted star,  text 4, 3 also text 1,2 
R/S to 80W, 85H % canvas size 600x600

Remove pinkstar, select your black circle
I filled in that "star pattern" with black using my pain brush
Select black circle  now selections all float defloat
Open pp4 R/S to 80% C/P onto canvas selections invert
delete select none.  Zoom in close and check outside the circle
I found bits of black and my paper sticking out. erase those

Open frame, R/S to 60%, C/P onto canvas, using your move tool
drag inside the middle, below your pink outer circle
Erase any part of the frame that pokes out from behind your circle
Click inside frame. selections modify expand by 5, open PP
R/S to 80% C/P onto canvas, selections - invert- delete select none

Select your star frame, I applied an outer glow, add noise D/S
Open main tube, R/S, c/p and i dragged her off to the side, apply D/S

Open filmstrip R/S to 80% C/P onto canvas
i lined it up near the black rectangle, then i pulled the frame out 
Erase the other side of the frame, duplicate and mirror. Drag filmstrip
 above your white rectangle layers, but behind everything else

Hide all layers minus our filmstrips merge these together, Unhide
Click inside each square, or seperate, selections modify expand by 4
Add a new raster layer, and i flood filled color of my choice
I used a pink color from my tube #f758a0

Select black rectangle, selections all float defloat, open PP10
R/S to 80%, C/P onto canvas, selections - invert- delete, select none
Remove original layer (black rectangle) Apply outer glows, D/S

Select pink rectangle, I colorize from a green on one of the papers
Apply outer glow - black then white - add noise to white - D/S

Select white rectangle, add noise, apply a black outerglow, D/S
Select pink circle, apply bevel of choice, then outer glow
I choose black, then green #c5d366 - add noise then D/S

Go back to your color inside your filmstrip
I did the same step as a paper and put in another tube of choice
Make sure you use the same artist. Blend mode - screen
Penta.com - color dot. settings: 65, 3, 255, 255, 255
Apply outer glow to your filmstrip color #fd45f8


Now it's element time

Using this drop shadow: 0, 0, 43, 7, color black
Heart&Headphones - 40%
Guitarpick - 20%
Boombox - 40%
Note3 - 25%
CD Case - 20%
Lips - 20%
Cupcake - 25%
Mircophone - 25%
Skull2 - 25%




place elements where you want, or use my tag as a guide.
Apply your mask, copyrights,  add your name save as a PNG
You're done!
