Ptu - Mermaid In Red


This tutorial was written in PSP 9 and can be used with any other version. I assume that you have a working knowledge of PSP.

Supplies Needed:
Tube of choice/close up


Paid Scrap kit by Blissful Designs
"Mermaid Red" Purchase at Scraps N Company


Font of choice
TheNautiGal

Temp3 Here

Mask(s)

Plugins Optional:
Xero - radiance
Redpaw media - beautifier
penta.com - jeans



Tutorial shortcut index:
"Delete" on your keyboard under Insert.
"C/P" copy and paste as new layer.
Remove "O/L" Remove original layer.
"D/S" Drop shadow located in 3D effects.
"R/S" Resize layer located in Image.
New "R/L" Raster layer, in Layers.
"outer glow" Gradient glow from eye candy
Or my method on my blog under "How to dos"

Good D/S settings:
0, 0, 57, 6, color black

Good add noise settings:
Uniform- 70-90 % noise monochrome
Random- 10-34% noise monochrome

Open template3 R/S to 75% canvas size 620x620
Remove her credits (raster1) and background

Select layer 4, selections all float defloat
Open pp7 R/S to 60% C/P onto canvas, selections invert
delete, select none. remove O/L. D/S


Select layer 3, selections all float defloat
Open pp6 R/S to 60% C/P onto canvas selections invert
delete, select none. Remove original layer 
Apply outer glow - then drop shadow

Select layer 2, selections all float defloat
Open pp6 C/P onto canvas selections invert
delete, select none. Remove original layer 
Apply outer glow - then drop shadow

Select layer1 , selections all float defloat
Open pp10 R/S to 60% C/P onto canvas selections invert
delete, select none. Remove original layer 
Apply outer glow - then drop shadow
I duplicated this layer, image- mirror then flip

Select layer 6, selections all float defloat
Openn pp3, R/S to 60% C/P onto canvas, selections
invert- delete. select none remove original layer
Apply outer glow - then drop shadow

Hide all layers, merge layer 8 and 7 together
Unhide everything, Open pp 5, R/S to 60% C/P
onto canvas, selections invert - delete, select none

Select your merged layer, selections all float defloat
Open pp5, R/S to 60% C/P onto canvas, selections 
invert- delete, select none. remove original layer
Aplly outer glow - then drop shadow

Open tube of choice, R/S if you need to
C/P onto canvas, Place in the center

Open element 36, R/S to 60% C/P onto canvas
Place near the bottom and below your tube
I used a mermaid that is sitting, So it looks like she's
Sitting on top of the drop. apply drop shadows

I went back and i put tube inside the merged layer 
The two rectangles on the side. blend mode: overlay
Penta.com - jeans, settings: 21, 4. apply to paper layer

Apply drop shadow on layer 5

Now it's element time


Elements i used and the resized %
Using this drop shadow: 0, 0, 44, 7, color black

place elements where you want, or use my tag as a guide.
Apply your mask, copyrights,  add your name save as a PNG
I applied beautifier to the whole tag, settingd of choice
I used paper 2 for mask. duplicate on the original blur
Effects - texture effects - mosaic - antique settings of choice

You're done!
