Ptu - Spooky Ghoul



This tutorial was written in PSP 9 and can be used with any other version. I assume that you have a working knowledge of PSP.

Supplies Needed:
Tube of choice/close up


Paid Scrap kit by Designs by Sue
"Pumpkin Carver HD" Purchase at Scrap N Company


Font of choice
A Dripping marker

Plugins Optional:
Redpaw media - beautifier
Mura's Meister - cloud
Neology - halftone grid



Tutorial shortcut index:
"Delete" on your keyboard under Insert.
"C/P" copy and paste as new layer.
Remove "O/L" Remove original layer.
"D/S" Drop shadow located in 3D effects.
"R/S" Resize layer located in Image.
New "R/L" Raster layer, in Layers.
"outer glow" Gradient glow from eye candy
Or my method on my blog under "How to dos"

Good D/S settings:
0, 0, 57, 6, color black

Good add noise settings:
Uniform- 70-90 % noise monochrome
Random- 10-34% noise monochrome

Open canvas size to 620x620
Open element 10 (frame) R/S to 80% C/P onto canvas, 
using your deform tool swirl your frame so it's tilted to the side alittle bit.
Click inside frame, modify-expand by 5, Open paper18 R/S to 60%, C/P onto canvas
drag inside frame selections invert delete, select none drag below frame
invert - delete select none drag below frame

Apply these plugins;
 MM- cloud settings: default - just changed the colors to green and black X2
Duplicate the cloud paper layer, now on the top layer apply the 2nd plugin
Neology - halftone grid settings: hotizontal 105, vertical 47
Now change your blend mode to overlay

I went and added outer glow to my frames layers
add noise, drop shadows of choice. colors used: 
#dc0d28 and for the circle frames; #eb8110

Also went and put close up tube in the circle frames
turned tube greyscale blend mode set to overlay

Open element 22 (frame) R/S to 50% C/P onto canvas, 
drag to the top left hand corner duplicate mirror and flip this should
put the frame in the same spot at the bottom right

Click inside circle frames modify-expand by 5
Open paper 9 R/S to 60% C/P onto canvas drag inside the frame
selections - invert- delete. select none. drag below frame

R/S your tube 55% first then 85% (if you're using the same tube)
or R/S with your own percentage. C/P onto canvas alittle off to the right
apply drop shadows, (1st) settings: 0, 0, 64, 8 Now (2nd)  -3, 7, 43, 5



Now it's time for more elements

Using this drop shadow: 0, 0, 48, 7, color black

place elements where you want, or use my tag as a guide.
Apply your mask, copyrights,  add your name save as a PNG
I applied beautifier to the whole tag, settings of choice
