Ptu - The Woods


This tutorial was written in PSP 9 and can be used with any other version. I assume that you have a working knowledge of PSP.

Supplies Needed:
Tube of choice/close up


Paid Scrap kit by Toxic Desirez
"Black Catz N Batz" Purchase at Skullified Scraps


Font of choice
28 Days later


Plugins Optional:
Redpaw media - beautifier
Mura's Meister - cloud
Xero - moodlight


Tutorial shortcut index:
"Delete" on your keyboard under Insert.
"C/P" copy and paste as new layer.
Remove "O/L" Remove original layer.
"D/S" Drop shadow located in 3D effects.
"R/S" Resize layer located in Image.
New "R/L" Raster layer, in Layers.
"outer glow" Gradient glow from eye candy
Or my method on my blog under "How to dos"

Good D/S settings:
0, 0, 57, 6, color black

Good add noise settings:
Uniform- 70-90 % noise monochrome
Random- 10-34% noise monochrome

Open canvas size 650x650
Open arch R/S to 75% C/P onto canvas
Place slightly off to the left, kind of centered
Open Castle R/S to 80% mirror C/P onto canvas 
place on left of the cut off arch seam apply D/S

Open Gate R/S to 80% C/P onto canvas drag in front of arch
Place where you'd like then with selection tool crop off the other side
Open grass R/S to 50% C/P onto canvas place on top of arch, D/S
Duplicate mirror so the grass is spread across the bottom

Using your freehand selection tool select around arch. 
Add a new raster layer, select color of choice i used color from a paper
Flood fill inside marching ants. select none, but reselect your layer
selections all float defloat apply MM- Cloud settings:  100, 121, 3, rest all 0's
color for foreground should be same of the original layer, then black for BG
Using your dodge tool lighten this up alittle bit. Duplicate layer 
Change your blande mode to overlay

Open cauldron R/S to 40% mirror C/P onto canvas
place on the far right apply drop shadow

Open tube R/S of choice C/P onto canvas place where you want
apply drop shadow of choice to your tube. apply moodlight to tube

Now it's time for more elements

Elements i used and the resized %
Using this drop shadow: 0, 0, 66, 6, color black
Books - 20%
Bottle - 20%
Candles - 20%
Eyeball - 10%
Leaves - 25%
Trees - 80%
Moon - 40%
Lantern - 15%
Cat2 - 20%
Web - 40%
Spider - 15%
Raven - 15%
Sparkles - 50%
Broom - 40%


place elements where you want, or use my tag as a guide.
Apply your mask, copyrights,  add your name save as a PNG

I applied beautifier to the whole tag, setting of choice

You're done!
