Ptu - Hot Merlady


This tutorial was written in PSP 9 and can be used with any other version. I assume that you have a working knowledge of PSP.

Tube of choice/close up


Paid Scrap kit by Rieneke Designs
"Mermaid" Purchase at Scrap N Company


Font of choice
Prime Script

Mask by Rachel
MaskSet126 (Mask2)

Plugins Optional:
Redpaw media - beautifier
xero - porcelain
penta.com - color dot
xero - radiance



Tutorial shortcut index:
"Delete" on your keyboard under Insert.
"C/P" copy and paste as new layer.
Remove "O/L" Remove original layer.
"D/S" Drop shadow located in 3D effects.
"R/S" Resize layer located in Image.
New "R/L" Raster layer, in Layers.
"outer glow" Gradient glow from eye candy
Or my method on my blog under "How to dos"

Good D/S settings:
0, 0, 57, 6, color black

Good add noise settings:
Uniform- 70-90 % noise monochrome
Random- 10-34% noise monochrome

Open temp, R/S to 80% canvas size 650x650
Remove credits (raster1) then 1, and background

Open tube R/S to 55% C/P onto canvas - drag in center
sharpen tube once, apply radiance settings of choice - D/S


Select layer2 selections all float defloat open paper8
R/S to 80% C/P onto canvas, selections - invert select none, Remove O/L
Inside each of the squares i put close up tube of choice
change blend mode: overlay - greyscale - plugin poreclain default settings
Then i applied penta.com - color dot, settings of choice
Now apply out your glow - add noise then D/S

Select layer 5 and 6, moving these alittle closer
Select layer5 selections all float defloat open paper1
R/S to 80% C/P onto canvas, selections - invert select none
remove O/L apply outer glow - add noise - D/S

Select layer6 selections all float defloat open paper1
 C/P onto canvas, selections - invert select none
remove O/L apply outer glow - add noise - D/S

Select layer3 selections all float defloat open paper2
R/S to 80% C/P onto canvas, selections - invert select none
remove O/L apply outer glow - add noise - D/S

Select original (temp) layer 3. selections all float defloat
Select layer 4, then hit delete. select none, drag above layer 3

Select layer4 selections all float defloat open paper3
R/S to 80% C/P onto canvas, selections - invert select none. remove O/L
Apply glass plugin on this black paper, settings of choice
apply outer glow - add noise - D/S

Select layer8 selections all float defloat open paper5 
R/S to 50% C/P onto canvas, selections - invert select none
remove O/L apply outer glow - add noise - D/S
I applied paper twice on this each corner with the
waves crashing up against them, optional
If you don't do this then R/S to 80%



Now it's time for more elements

Using this drop shadow: 0, 0, 45, 5, color black

Apply your mask, copyrights,  add your name save as a PNG
I applied beautifier to the whole tag, settings of choice
I used paper9 for my mask
